FREEDOM VILLAGE
Serving those who served
Freedom Village is a noble cause and one of the most significant undertakings in Primal Sports Charities history. It is a major veteran-centric affordable housing community development project designed to create safe, supportive residential communities for qualified veterans across Pennsylvania.
In joint venture with Veteran Engineering Team (V.E.T.) — a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) federal contractor — V.E.T. brings deep firsthand knowledge of the veteran experience, unlocks government set-aside contracts and grant programs exclusively available to veteran-owned businesses, and delivers enhanced credibility in pursuing federal funding.
The initiative is funded through HUD, VA, and HUD/VASH set-aside grant programs and covers the full development lifecycle: surplus land acquisition, land development, infrastructure development, complete construction, renovation, and wraparound supportive services for veterans.
Our Story
Primal Sports Charities was founded in 2023 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with a simple belief: every student-athlete and veteran deserves access to the support they need to succeed — regardless of financial circumstances.
What began as a mission to provide free mental health counseling has grown into a comprehensive organization serving the whole athlete — mind, body, and academics. Our programs are delivered by licensed professionals and backed by partnerships with Slippery Rock University, Messiah University, and Penn State University.
Today, Primal Sports Charities is also home to the Freedom Village initiative — a veteran housing development project that extends our mission beyond the field and into the community where veterans live, heal, and rebuild.
